Monitoring is the systematic process of collecting, analysing and using information to track a programme/Project’s progress towards reaching its objectives and to guide management decisions. Evaluation on the other hand aims at determining the relevance, impact, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of interventions and the contribution of the intervention to the results value chain (inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes and impacts). Anything that is not measured is usually done efficiently or effectively.
At SSAC, we have extensive knowledge and experience in Monitoring and Evaluation processes which have become an important source of knowledge management and organisational learning in the private and public sector.
